Private day ski tours · Pyrenees · since 2016

Skiing from Barcelona, without the fuss.

We run private minivan day tours from your Barcelona hotel to three Pyrenean ski resorts — Masella, La Molina and Grandvalira in Andorra. One driver-guide, no coach-tour crowds, no sorting kit yourself. Up on the lifts by ten, back in Barcelona for dinner.

Pick a resort, we handle the rest.

Five Pyrenean ski resorts within comfortable day-trip range of Barcelona, each with its own personality. All ski day tours include a private minivan transfer from your hotel, a driver-guide who speaks English and Spanish, and help with equipment rental on arrival. Not sure which resort suits you? Our comparison guide runs through the trade-offs between the big three.

#S5 · Spain

Port del Comte Day Ski Tour

Port del Comte is the closest ski resort to Barcelona — just 150 km, less than two hours door-to-door. Pre-Pyrenean, lower altitude (base 1,700 m), 42 km of mostly sun-facing pistes, and a true family-first atmosphere. The right choice for a short city break where losing a full day to driving isn't appealing.

Masella Day Ski Tour

Masella is the quieter half of the Alp 2500 ski area — long tree-lined runs, sunny south-facing pistes, and far fewer queues than its neighbour. Perfect for an unhurried piste day two hours from Barcelona.

2 h 15 min drive 5–6 h on snow from €395 per person, group of 2
#S2 · Spain

La Molina Day Ski Tour

La Molina is the busier, racier side of Alp 2500 — Spain's first lift-served ski resort, with a strong snowpark, a World Cup descent course, and the fastest access from Barcelona by rail or road.

2 h drive 5–6 h on snow from €395 per person, group of 2
#S4 · Andorra

Vallnord Pal-Arinsal (Andorra) Day Ski Tour

Vallnord Pal-Arinsal is Andorra's second-largest ski area and the quieter, more family-oriented alternative to Grandvalira. 63 km of pistes under the highest peak in Andorra (2,942 m), a direct cable car from the La Massana village centre, and considerably fewer weekend crowds than its bigger sibling across the valley.

3 h drive 5 h on snow from €465 per person, group of 2
#S3 · Andorra

Grandvalira (Andorra) Day Ski Tour

Grandvalira is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees — 210 km of pistes across six sectors in Andorra, higher altitude, drier snow, and a different country to end the day in. Longer drive, bigger reward.

2 h 45 min drive 5 h on snow from €465 per person, group of 2

Not here to ski.

The same mountains in different weather, or without the skis. For travellers who want a mountain day but aren't on the slopes.

Pyrenees Snowshoeing Day from Barcelona

A winter day in the snow without the lifts, the queues or the technical skill. Snowshoeing is walking with wider, floating snowshoes strapped to your boots — anyone who can hike can do it. We drive you to a quiet forested trailhead in the Catalan Pyrenees and spend four or five hours walking through snowy pine woods.

2 h drive 4–5 h walking from €345 per person, group of 2

Pyrenees Road Trip — Three Countries in One Day

Three countries in a single day. A long, scenic private road trip from Barcelona across two mountain passes into France and back through Andorra. Not a skiing tour — this is a landscape and border-hopping day for travellers who want more than a city break.

#H1 · May – October

Pyrenees Summer Hiking Day from Barcelona

The same Pyrenean valleys we visit all winter, in a very different mood: wildflower meadows in June, long warm days in July and August, autumn colour in October. Our summer hiking day picks one of three classic Cerdanya routes — Nuria valley, Carlit massif approach, or the Puigpedros high meadows — adjusted to your fitness and preferences.

2 h 15 min drive 5–7 h hiking from €345 per person, group of 2

We also run custom private tours on request — multi-day combinations, non-standard resorts, or something nobody has asked us for yet. For larger groups than six people, we work with our partner BCS Bus on minibus and coach-sized transfers across Catalonia and the Pyrenees.

How a day with us works

Door to piste in four unhurried hours.

You tell us your Barcelona address and preferred resort. We pick you up early — typically between half past six and half past seven in the morning depending on how far the resort is. Coffee stop on the way up. On arrival at the resort our driver-guide helps you sort the lift pass and, if you need them, skis, boots, poles. By ten you're on the first lift up.

You ski at your own pace for the day. The guide stays with the minivan — you have their phone number if you need anything on the mountain. Lunch is on you (we recommend a mid-mountain restaurant). Last lift down around half past four, change out of your boots, and we drive you back to Barcelona in time for an aperitivo.

What you need to bring: ski clothing, warm layers, gloves, goggles. Equipment and the lift pass are rented at the resort — reckon on about €80 extra per person for the day. Beginners aren't suited to our tours; we need you to be comfortable on red pistes. See the FAQ for the full detail.

What previous skiers say

A quiet reputation.

A really well-organised private day. Picked up at our hotel at seven in the morning, sorted out the skis and the lift pass without us having to queue anywhere, and we were on the first lift up at Masella by ten. The guide knew exactly which sector would still have the morning sun. Easy, no stress, exactly what we wanted on a short Barcelona trip.

Michael B. London, UK · Masella · February 2019

We did the Grandvalira day with our two teenagers. Long day — up at six, back at seven in the evening — but totally worth it. The snow in Andorra was better than anything we expected to find this close to the coast, and the kids had never crossed a border by car. Our driver was patient with the equipment rental and gave us a good brief on where to ski at each sector.
